The September Newsletter has been added to the Newsletter folder under “Parents”. Please review. Some highlights are noted below.
Drop Off Procedures
Parents wishing to drop their children to school are asked to park in the side (East) parking lot ( if it is full, the road in front of the school) and walk their children to the yard area. Please be sure to social distance while doing this. In an effort to ensure we do not have people congregating, we ask that once your child is dropped off, parents and guardians depart.
Pick Up Procedures.
We ask that parents park in the side (East) parking lot (if it is full the road in front of the school) and pick their child up. Students from grades 1 to 4 will be in their class lines at the rear lf the building waiting with their teacher until parents arrive. Students from grades 5 to 8 may wait for their parents at a prearranged spot. Parents are asked to social distance when picking up their children. Parents are asked to escort their children to the car.
Entry Procedures
Student will line up in their respective lines. Students are to put out their arms to ensure they are a good distance away from the student in front of them. As they enter the building, students will sanitize their hands and will walk directly to their classroom and to their desk which will be labelled with their name. Personal belongings will be hung on the backs of their chairs or under their desks. Coat racks will not be used at this time.
Kindergarten Drop off and Pick up.
Kindergarten parents are asked that if dropping off, they let their child go to their child/s teacher from the gate of the kindergarten yard. Teacher’s and DECE’s will be stationed at the classroom doors to receive them. Students will be directed into the classroom and will sanitize their hands on the way inside. Please note that this year, students who will not enter the building, will need to return home with their parents as we cannot have parents in the building at this time.
At the end of the day, teacher will release students to parents from their classroom doors to the parents who will be waiting socially distanced by the gate.
