Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week

We have designated the week of November 15-19th as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week to help promote safe schools and a positive learning environment.

During Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, students at Good Shepherd will be learning more about bullying and its effect on student learning and well-being. We will renew our commitment to treat everyone with dignity, kindness and respect and promote a safe, welcoming and positive school environment for all.

The Luke 4:18 committee has organized the following events to raise awareness and prevent bullying:

Mon., Nov. 15 – Kindness Monday: Perform a random act of kindness and spread the message that kindness matters. Students will receive recognition for these acts throughout the week.

Tues., Nov. 16 – Red Day: Wear RED to put a STOP to bullying. Stand up for yourself and your friends; don’t be a bystander.

Wed., Nov. 17 – Mismatched Shoes and Socks Day: Wear 2 different shoes or socks today. Think about what it is like to “walk in someone else’s shoes”.

Thurs., Nov. 18 – Superhero Day: Dress like a superhero to celebrate that we can all be heroes when we stand up for ourselves and our friends and say that bullying behaviour is not okay.

Coby The Magician will also be coming soon!
