This year, Ash Wednesday and St. Valentine’s Day both fall on February 14th. Ash Wednesday is a sombre occasion that marks the beginning of the 40 days of Lent, and all students in our Catholic schools must celebrate Ash Wednesday on the day recognized by the Church to properly mark the start of Lent. Therefore, we will be combining our Shrove Tuesday celebrations and the St. Valentine’s celebration on February 13th.
