World Down Syndrome Day
On Wednesday, March 21, Good Shepherd will be participating in the Down Syndrome Association of York Region’s Lots of Socks Awareness Campaign by wearing mismatched socks to declare our support for students with Down Syndrome.
At Good Shepherd Catholic Elementary School we are committed to providing our students with quality French education. We believe that student learning can be enriched by providing them with the opportunity to engage in French traditions. This year, Ash Wednesday and St. Valentine’s Day both fall on February 14th. Ash Wednesday is a sombre occasion that marks the beginning of the 40 days of Lent, and all students in our Catholic schools must celebrate Ash Wednesday on the day recognized by the Church to properly mark the start of Lent.
