Caring For Those In Need with Milk Bag Program

On Monday, we welcomed Mrs. Gusz from the Milk Bag Project who explained how and why this program began.  This initiative began in Toronto after the 2010 Haitian earthquake.  It takes the colourful outer milk bags and weaves them into mats for the poor to sleep on.  Each mattress is made of about 420 milk bags and last for about 25 years.  They are waterproof, bug-proof

We just wanted to remind you that when transportation is cancelled all hot lunches, evening programs, permits and board IPRCs are also cancelled. Hansel & Gretel Production Teaching self-regulation and healthy living skills

We are excited to be providing the students with a self-regulation and healthy living production of Hansel & Gretel. Our fundraising money is paying for Big Kid Entertainment Company that specializes in educational in-school theatre to provide this curriculum-based theatrical fairy tale. School transportation cancelled due to weather

Please be advised that all school transportation (bus, minivan and taxi transportation) for the York Catholic District School board is cancelled today, January 10, 2017. All schools will remain open but students must be picked up at/before 3:30pm. All in-services scheduled at schools or at the Board Office are cancelled. This includes any co-teaching sessions that have been arranged by Consultants or ...
