On November 6, the Grade 6 students had the honour of hosting Henry Agassi as their guest speaker. Mr Agassi shared his story of how he grew up in Nigeria with tough conditions and his journey as he immigrated to Canada. This helped to enrich our Social Studies unit on Heritage and Citizenship, in terms of how our identity is formed and shaped.
This week the primary students participated in an interactive presentation put on by the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. Using milk as a learning vehicle, students gained further knowledge while developing skills that will help them become better decision makers when it comes to healthy eating. We are very excited to teach students all about the various games, words and more that we have painted in their yard this weekend. The company did a great job and we look forward to seeing the interactive play begin!
Today we had a lovely virtue assembly led by Mrs. DiSera and grade 8 students. Many students from kindergarten to grade 8 were recognized for their virtue of Compassion.
