We celebrate a different virtue each month that resonates both with our Catholic tradition and with the Municipality of York’s character attributes. In May we reflect on the virtue of Responsibility.
This month, we celebrate the virtues of reverence and respect. Reverence refers to the proper attitude we should have toward God. Respect means to see the other person with new eyes. Reverence asks us not only to respect one another, but also to have reverence for the sacred part of one another, for all of God’s creations and God.
